Transforming DLG Silo -

Attractor spring 2012​, Bachelorproject

 

Proposal for transforming the existing abandoned DLG complex, into a cultural epicenter for the future urban development of Nordhavn in the northern area of Copenhagen.

​

The iconic value of the old silos, is preserved and emphasized by the refinement of the existing patinated facades.
The cultural functions are split up, into an extroverted, open, and static program, and an introverted, closed and flexible program.
 

The recognizable DLG motif is thereby preserved, but transformed into a new expressive landmark and a cultural attractor for the Nordhavn region.
